The Darkness & Light Art Exhibit’s Final Stop: New York!

The Darkness & Light Art Exhibition has arrived in New York!

The one-of-a-kind art and education tour, which benefits the We Can Be Heroes giving campaign, pairs original artwork inspired by DC Comics’ The Justice League with journalistic photography that exposes moments of heroism by aid workers in the Horn of Africa. Legendary artist and DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee contributed the centerpiece of the collection, a large-scale original artwork of Batman in a color palette inspired by the hues of Africa – yellow, green, red and black.

Darkness & Light launched in June at the Portland, Oregon, headquarters of Mercy Corps, a nonprofit partner of We Can Be Heroes. It then went on to Comic-Con in San Diego and Atlanta, and is headed to its final 2012 exhibit in New York City at the Time Warner Center during New York Comic Con.

The exhibit will be on display at its final stop at the Time Warner Center from October 8th-14th, so if you are in town for New York Comic-Con this week make sure to check it out. Have a look at the photos of the exhibition below!
